Introduction

At Oneday Insurance TPA Inc., transparency is at the core of how we serve Canadians in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

This Disclosures page explains our business model, licensing, underwriting relationship, compensation structure, and regulatory oversight, so you know exactly how we operate and what to expect as a client.

Our Business Model & Compensation

Our role:
Oneday TPA Inc. operates as a third-party administrator (TPA) and licensed life insurance intermediary. We are not an insurance company. Our role is to facilitate applications, administer policies, and support customer service on behalf of our underwriting partner.

Underwriting partner:
All life insurance policies offered through Oneday are underwritten by Humania Assurance Inc., which assumes all underwriting and financial risk associated with these policies.

Compensation / commissions:
Oneday receives commissions or fees from Humania Assurance for the policies we facilitate. These amounts are determined by our contractual agreement with Humania.

No hidden fees:
We do not inflate premiums or add administrative surcharges to cover internal operations. Product pricing and terms are based solely on Humania Assurance’s underwriting and pricing practices.

Agent / staff remuneration:
Any agents or internal team members may receive fixed payments for policy administration. They do not receive variable incentives or bonuses tied to premium size or product upsells.

Licensing & Provincial Regulatory Oversight

Oneday is licensed and operates in compliance with all applicable provincial regulations.

Provincial licensing:
We hold valid life insurance intermediary or agency licenses in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

Regulatory oversight:
We are accountable to the provincial regulators in each jurisdiction, including:

Underwriter regulation:
Our underwriting partner, Humania Assurance Inc., is regulated under federal and provincial insurance laws.

Product compliance:
All products offered through Oneday meet applicable legal and regulatory standards in the provinces in which they are sold.

Underwriting & Risk Assumption

Risk borne by insurer:
Humania Assurance assumes full financial and underwriting responsibility for all life insurance policies. Oneday is not the insurer and does not make underwriting or claims decisions.

Assessment process:
Depending on eligibility and product type, underwriting may require health questionnaires, medical exams, or paramedical assessments. Underwriting decisions are made exclusively by Humania Assurance.

Declines or modified offers:
Applications may be declined, approved at modified terms, or issued with rated premiums or exclusions based on Humania’s underwriting criteria.

Conflicts of Interest & Disclosure Policy

Managing conflicts:
Oneday’s compensation arrangements and relationships are structured to minimize conflicts of interest. Where a potential or actual conflict may arise, for example, preferential compensation terms or other benefits from our underwriter, we disclose this to clients and manage it in accordance with regulatory requirements and the CLHIA Guidelines.

Independent content:
Our educational materials (guides, blog, calculators) are created independently of sales or commission considerations. Content creators do not receive commissions tied to products mentioned in educational materials.

Clear product disclosure:
Where insurance products are discussed, we clearly state that they are underwritten by Humania Assurance Inc.

Sponsored content:
Any sponsored or promotional material involving partners is clearly labeled to ensure transparency.
